How to start & stop sap hana system?
Shutting down the whole sap hana system environment may be required at some stage. In a multitenant system, all hana tenant databases will be stopped as part of the shutdown procedure. However, row table data will be kept in memory via a triggered process called hdbrsutil. Existing Row tables in memory will improve speed of a tenant database restart as there is be less data to load back into the memory. If the server is kept up and running there might be no need to shut down those processes. Otherwise, a clean shutdown means shutting down each process. Starting sap hana can take a while depending of database size. When starting a database, the whole hana database is uploading progressively into memory. Restarting a system is therefore a task which requires an accurate logistic in order to keep unavailable services to a minimum period of time.
How to START an entire sap hana database system?

Starting a full sap hana system after a clean shutdown or after a server reboot should be straight forwards.
Note: Always check for alerts or errors after a sap hana system has been restarted. Sap hana may be up and running but alert or errors might come up.
